I bought KC555 in BigC in Madhapur Hyderabad on Apr 2010. A lot of positive reviews in other forums had prompted me to buy it. But I am highly disappointed to have chosen Karbonn in general and KC555 in specific. The phone has the following major problems: 1) Charger provided with the phone is a very unique one. The data cable i.e the cable to connect the phone with PC is to be inserted in the adapter and the whole assembly is the charger. This fails to work very soon due to loose connection between the usb cable and the charger plug. Karbonn must consider providing a separate charger and Data cable. 2) The phone heats a lot even if the call last for more than 5 mins. So for parents who dont want their kids to spend a lot of time on phone pls gift this phone without headset! Jokes apart, this is a big health hazard especially for people who cant carry headset for every place they take the phone. 3) Horrible user manual! The pages are not printed in order and half of the items/features available are not explained at all. 4) Bad software usability experience! Simple things like deleting bulk SMSes, looking at only SIM2 contacts etc. are not present. 5) Very bad camera. Though there is less we must expect from a VGA camera but in my opinion even a basic picture under proper light is bad. 6) WORST OF ALL: When I wanted to contact the Karbonn care centers in hyderabad listed in the warranty card I found none of the numbers were valid. Of all the number only one was answered and that too they informed that they no longer support Karbonn. I never even imagined that there could be a product that could be so depressing. So please look out for a better alternate
supports CDMA and GSM
I have given my mobil handsat in service center "GANAPATIASSOCIATES" S.S.Road Lakhtokia Assam, job sheet no-0511-218 for repairing on 17/05/2011. But unfortunately my mobile has not been repaired till date. I have request them several times to return the mobile. In reply they said that the mobile has been sent to Bangalore for repairing without mentioning any date when it will return to me again. So I have faced in a big problem without my mobile handset more than two months. NOW I PLANNED TO GO THE CONSUMER COURT WITHIN THE NEXT TWO DAYS.
