16GB Google Nexus 7 goes out of stock

|July 23 2012 |Android, Google, Android Tablets, tablet

Google Nexus 7 16GB model is being more sold than the 8GB version. This is the reason you will see a "Out of Stock" tag almost at all the retailers, including Google Play Store.

On the sales page of 16GB version of Google Play Store the Web giant writes "Coming Soon" and welcomes potential customers to sign up there to get information when it arrives,

According to The Guardian citing sources close to Google, the search giant underestimated Nexus 7 16GB demand in the UK and US markets.

One main reason for the high demand of 16GB Google Nexus 7 is its lack of any memory expansion feature via external storage cards of any format. Though there is $50 difference in price of the two models, still most people are opting for the higher version.

Apart from Google Play store, we also checked with other retailers such as GameStop, Office Depot, Staples, Kmart, B&H NYC, MobileCity and Sam’s Club, and similar story is seen with all of them.

Do write in the below comment box if you spotted the availability of Google Nexus 7 16GB version anywhere right now.

In the US the 8GB model is priced tagged $199 and the higher version is being retailed for $249. The UK price is higher. Please find more details about the tablet from the below links:
