The final month of the year can be really expensive and stressful with Christmas round the bend. However, Google appears to have an app for overcoming it. Patrons of Google's just released Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system are finding that the Web big shot has left the last month of the year out of the People app. Yes, December is missing there.



Users trying to add a friend's birthday using the "date picker" feature of the People app are scrolling right from November to January. A big bug. Isn't it? In fact it is a blunder.

The bug, however, has not affected the Calendar app of Android.

The Nexus 7 and Galaxy Nexus with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean failed to show the month December in the People apps, but the two devices showed the system date correctly as December.

Thumbs up to platform fragmentation, not many people are yet using this novel version of the operating system, which was introduced early last week.

But it is suspected that Google will release an update very soon, most probably before lots of other users start using the app and make a chaos across the Web, on forums, comments and blogs.
