There are rumours that Lenova is preparing for a touch-friendly version of its ThinkPad X1 Carbon. A teaser page was put up on its US website recently affirming the existence of a new Ultrabook, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Touch. Sad to say, the teaser page has now been taken down, just yesterday.



According to a report by Maximum PC, the new touch-friendly Ultrabook of Lenovo will be made available by next month. However, the date of the release is still unknown. There is also no information as of now regarding the cost and specification of the device.

The Lenovo X1 Carbon Touch will sport a 14-inch HD+ display, providing a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels, and to have a support for 10-finger multi-touch and Windows 8 touchpad gestures.

It is learned the specs of the Carbon X1 Touch are in tangent with the ThinkPad X1 Carbon.

The X1 Carbon notebook has the new third generation Intel Core processor. It offers Intel Turbo Boost 2.0. It's weight is less than three pounds and features high resolution of a 14-inch display on a 13-inch laptop.

According to Lenova, the X1 Carbon is very light in weight and retains ThinkPad's durability. The device is also equipped with optional 3G mobile broadband and hotspot technology.
