Microsoft launches the Outlook.com app for Android

outlookMicrosoft recently revamped its email service under the new Outlook brand. Now the company has launched an outlook branded app for Android smart phones.

The Outlook app enables you to get mails on your smart phone with push notification, use multiple accounts, send receive photos and other attachments and sync with calendar, contacts, folders and subfolders.

Besides, you can customize your app using experience by choosing which all folders to Sync and what size to truncate messages.

On the downside, company has not worked much on improving the interface of app. The UI looks pretty similar to old one and you feel like using an obsolete app even if you are running it on Android 4.1.

The app requires you to have Android 2.1 or above. On the Google play page it doesn’t mention the compatibility of Android 4.2 yet, which means another upgrade could be on the way. Lets see if Microsoft focuses a bit on improving the UI this time.
