The Taiwan based Smartphone manufacturer Acer is all set to launch its first Intel powered smartphone next week in Philippines. This Smartphone is named as 'Acer Liquid C1'.
It will be powered by Intel's latest Atom Processor Z2420. This Smartphone boasts a Intel XMM 6265 modem clocked at 21Mbps for faster browsing and downloads.
Liquid C1 sports a 4.3 inch qHD Touch screen, capable of producing a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. It is supported by 400MHz Intel's Graphic Media Accelerator Card for giving an ultimate experience of gaming on this device.
For Connectivity, this smartphone will support 3G HSPA+ and other standard connectivity options. It is powered by 2,000mAH Battery for a long run on the go.
This Smartphone will be launched in Philippines and later will arrive in other countries too. Acer is targeting the markets of China, Africa, Latin America, India and Southeast Asia.
Ricky Banaag, Country Manager for Intel Philippines stated, "Gaming and graphics are the key components of C1," He was sure about the success of this Smartphone in Philippines. "The Philippines is the fastest-growing smartphone market for Southeast Asia and we are the 12th largest mobile market in the world, and 20 percent of our population are mobile Internet users and in year 2012 we achieved a 30-percent Internet penetration rate," Banaag added.
This Smartphone will have a tough competition with other Smartphones powered with Intel Processors, where Lenovo is launching its K900 powered with Intel Clover Trail+ chips by April this year.
Lava is also going to launch its new smartphone in Xolo series, the Xolo Mission X, which is claimed to be the fastest Lava Xolo ever made.
