Acer to follow Dell Streak, ready to launch tablet mobile hybrids

ImageDell can be said the first to enter into tablet mobile hybrid with the launch of Dell streak. The device got a good response and has recently got a firmwae update.

Acer which has already spent a few successfull year in the smartphone segment seems to follow Dell streak by launch of similar products. As per the latest scoop Acer is planning to launch a 7-inch panel, a 10-inch panel, and a 5-inch panel tablet in the first quarter of 2011. Company is weighing in both Tegra 2 and Snapdragon for the tablets. These tablet will come with Android 3.0 on board.

"Acer’s 5-inch tablet PC is designed to allow consumers to utilize both handset and tablet PC functionality and the company expects such a device will help gain support from telecom carriers" the sources noted.
