|February 5 2013 |Mobile Operators

As a step towards increasing the number of mobile subscribers in the rural and semi urban regions of the country, Bharti Airtel has introduced a new voice-based portal that will be commonly known as “Apna Chaupal”

The Apna Chaupal will provide bits of information to the rural customers in their respective local languages on various fields including agriculture, update on market rates, information regarding government job vacancies, health, education and many more.

Bharti Airtel has designed the Apna Chaupal service with the aim to make its rural subscribers capable of browsing through an enhanced list of the various value added services mentioned above. Along with this, the subscribers can choose one additional service easily by dialing a toll-free number 58080 provided by the company.

The newly rolled out Apna Chaupal service from Airtel supports Hindi and other regional languages including Rajasthani, Marathi, Marwari, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, Haryanvi, Tamil, Oriya, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu and Assamese.

By accessing the Apna Chaupal service, the Airtel rural and semi-urban subscribers across the country will be empowered to browse and select their desired service from a large bouquet of available value added services simply on the go even by just dialing a toll-free number.

However, the company will be charging some rates applicable for the subscription.

The leading service provider in India seems to be really serious about assisting its valuable subscribers in order to gain access easily to the various services desired by them.
