Airtel launches 4G LTE in Bangalore, second city after Kolkata

Bharti Airtel's 4G LTE services was successfully launched today in Bangalore city (Benguluru - Karnataka). Earlier the telecom carrier launched the same in Kolkata. So far only these two cities have been given the 4G LTE High Speed Wireless Broadband service in India, and that too only through Airtel amid several other telecom companies winning the bid for other cities.


Karnataka Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda launched the new 4G network in the city.

The High Speed Wireless Broadband network of the Airtel is one of state-of-the-art and is based on TD-LTE. With this India is now counted as one of the first countries in the world to have commercially deployed the 4G LTE network.

In Karnataka circle Airtel has partnered with Huawei for this cutting-edge technology. Subscribers need to pay Rs 49 for the 4G USIM and the dongle is priced Rs 7999. Indoor Wi-Fi CPE will cost Rs 7750. Airtel has also come up with a 100% cashback offer for the expensive dongle. More to this, the carrier has introduced a 'Break Free Ultimate' plan offering 30 GB data for only Rs 2999 a month.

Thirty-five high quality Bollywood movie titles are being offered on the network to customers to enjoy unmatched video streaming experience. Meanwhile, 10 movie titles can also be availed for free during the first month of the 4G LTE connection. The movie buffs monthly subscription cost Rs 149 to watch unlimited movies. More movie titles are to be added in the catalog by the company in near future, said Airtel.
