Airtel has launched a new tariff plan in Kolkata, for the 4G LTE services that it launched in the city recently.

The 4G LTE service offers a mind-blowing 100 Mbps download speed and a 40 Mbps upload speed. The new tariff plan is called the 'Break free Ultimate pack', offering 30 GB of data at full speed for Rs.2,999 per month. Although users will not be charged for usage beyond the allotted 30GB, the speed will come down to 128 Kbps in accordance with Airtel’s fair usage policy.

Under the new offer, those who subscribe to Airtel’s 4G services will now be entitled for a cash back offer for the dongle. For example, if you subscribe to the Rs.1,999 plan, you’ll get the dongle for free through the cash back offer over 24 bills, each bill getting a discount of Rs.333. Similarly, in the Rs.2,999 plan, the cash back offer will extend over 12 billing cycles with a Rs. 666 discount per bill. The cash back offer will remain available for the next 60 days only.

Airtel offers 2 types of devices - one comes with a Wi-Fi hotspot feature, costing Rs.7,750 and the other is a Multimode dongle for Rs.7999. With the new cash back offer, the price of the device has been subsidized a bit.

At the time Airtel launched the 4G service, its introductory offer was a Rs. 999 unlimited plan offering 6 GB of data (additional usage at 128 kbps speed), Rs.1399 for 9 GB, and Rs.1,999 for 18 GB.

These plans also come with a cash back offer with Rs.167 per bill (for 6 bills) for the Rs.999 plan, Rs.466 (for 6 bills) for the Rs.1,399 plan and Rs.666 (for 6 bills) for the Rs.1999 plan.
