After setting new records of 2 million downloads in two days of its arrival on the Android platform, Angry Birds is all set to entice Symbian users with its addictive game play. Rovio, the game's developers have launched the lite as well as the full versions of the game on Symbian^3.
Currently, Nokia N8 and Nokia C7 are the only two devices that run on the Symbian^3 OS. It is available for download on the OVI Store with a price of $2.99 and features 105 levels of ad-free game play. Rovio will provide free updates with more levels in the future.
"We are very excited to partner with Nokia in the launch of the new Symbian^3 smartphones," said Mikael Hed, CEO of Rovio. "We see great potential in Ovi Store, and we're looking forward to steadily growing numbers of Angry Birds finding their way to Nokia devices."
Angry Birds has been downloaded on more than 25 million phones worldwide. The game will now be able to reach out to a growing base of devices with versions for iOS, Android, Palm webOS and now Symbian.
