Apple dumping iPhone 3GS in India

|June 25 2011 |Apple iPhone

Looks like Apple is trying to clear off the unsold iPhone 3GS inventory in India. According to a mobile dealer (as reported by economictimes), Apple has supplied stocks of Apple iPhone 3GS 8GB version to mobile dealers across India. This device will be available from Friday at a cost of Rs. 19,990/-

Think about it. This is a 2 year old model. There's an iPhone 5 waiting to be launched very soon. There are better smartphones out there in the market at a price of Rs. 20,000. Apple wants to clear off the inventory and still wants to price it on the higher side. 8GB version @ Rs. 15k sounds reasonable, but will apple listen? :)
