Apple iPad gets a Skype App

Skype for Apple iPad has been made available worldwide in the App store and temporarily removed. The Skype team said, the Skype iPad went live prematurely today and the full version will be made available soon.


Rick Osterloh, Vice President, Consumer and Product Designer, Skype said the iPhone version of Skype burst out of the gate quickly, with a big launch and “a userbase that doubled in just a month’s time.” The iPad version is expected to have the same receiving from the user base. Since, the application delivers the same functionality like chatting, audio & video calling, and all the other standard works what we can expect from Skype.
