Very soon iPad Mini too will be equipped with higher resolution based display, probably the Retina display. It is learned from Taiwan-based tech website Digitimes that Apple is now working on improving the iPad Mini tablet. The website claims quoting Taiwanese backlighting industry sources.
It is not yet confirmed from the sources whether the higher resolution based display will be the Retina display, but analysts say the iDevice giant is likely to consider its track record of launching the recent iPhone and iPad with such.
Apple’s iPad Mini sports a 7.9-inch screen with 1024 x 768 resolution and 163 pixels per inch (ppi) density. The tablet is powered by a dual core A5 processor and runs on iOS 6 operating system. It comes with a 3G as well as WiFI connectivity alternatives and the on-board storage is similar to that of iPad 3, its elder sibling - 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.
If iPad Mini comes with retina display then it will give tough competition to Google’s Nexus 7 tablet, which is available with a better resolution.
Coming back to the sources, it is learned a lighter iPad 9.7 may also be launched in which Apple may use just one LED bar instead of two for illumination. This will help designers of the device in reducing some more weight of the tablet and also a lighter version will be much easier to handle. Isn't it? Do share your own views in below comment section.
