A new 7-inch tablet accompanied by an Intel chipset is under the works of Asus as suggested by the images published on a website. This device is is expected to make its debut at the Mobile World Congress 2013 to be held at Barcelona, Spain at the end of this month.
Asus FonePad is expected to arrive accompanied by an Intel Atom Z2420 mobile processor along with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system. It will sport a 7-inch touchscreen which bears a display resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The device is speculated to be powered with a 1.2 GHz processor accompanied by 1GB of RAM for a buttery smooth performance. It features a 3 megapixel rear camera along with a 1.2 megapixel front facing camera.
The other specifications of the FonePad are expected to include a 8/16/32 GB of onboard storage, Micro SD Card slot, 4270 mAh battery. The dimensions of the tablet will measure 196.6 x 120.1 x 10.4 mm and will bear weight of 340 grams.
Considering the speculated features of the Asus FonePad we may surely expect the device to arrive in the low-to-mid range of devices. It may make its debut at the MWC 2013 at the end of this month and will be available from June onwards this year.
