Asus is going to launch its Fonepad, a tablet with calling functionality, on 24th of April in India. The company has started sending out the invitations for the event.
Unveiled at the Mobile World Congress, the Fonepad is Asus’s first Android Tablet to run on an Intel Processor. It features a 7.0 inches wide IPS HD Multi touch screen display for wide viewing quality and clarity and has a resolution of 1280x800 pixels. It has been powered with 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2420 Lexington chipset paired up with 1GB of RAM.
The device runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. It comes with great 8GB of internal storage capacity which can be expanded up to 32GB via Micro SD Card and boasts a 3.5 MP rear camera and 1.2MP front camera for video calling. It runs on a powerful 4,720 mAh Battery.
Asus Fonepad is featured with 3G capability and other telephonic support. The device will give a tough competition to much popular Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 P310.
