Seems Asus is on a reviving spree this Computex. After launching the upgraded version of Transformer pad and launching its first phablet, Asus has announced the successors of its affordable Memo Pad series. The devices feature a decent set of specifications at affordable price tags.
Asus Memo Pad HD 7 will feature a 7-inch, 1280x800 pixels, IPS display running Android 4.2. The device will be getting the goodness of ASUS SonicMaster audio technology and will be powered by Cortex A7 Quad core processor. The tablet also packs a 5MP camera at the back and 1.2 MP camera on the front to facilitate the video calling. The tablet weighs mere 302g making it one of the lightest tablets around. If you were looking for a refreshed Nexus 7, this is the device to go.
Asus Memo Pad HD 7 will be available in 2 variants. 8GB model will cost $129 and 16 GB model will cost $149.
The company also announced Asus Memo Pad FHD 10, a successor of the Asus Memo Pad Smart 10 tablet. Asus Memo Pad FHD 10 is powered by Intel Atom Z2560 and features a 10-inch Full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels. Like the younger sibling, its also loaded with SonicMaster audio, 5MP camera at the back and 1.2MP camera on the front. The tablet would be able to wirelessly connect with Wi-Fi enable TV or projector to stream the content.
Both the tablet will come with protective cover which would double up as kickstand.
