Asus launches refreshed Fonepad 7 tablet with Dual Speakers and Voice calling support

At a press conference in IFA 2013, Asus has unveiled a refreshed version of its Asus Fonepad 7 tablet with improved features. It is having the same 7inch display but comes with Dual Speakers to provide better quality audio experience than its predecessor. It will be available in three different memory variants including 8GB, 16GB and 32GB along with microSD card storage and company is also going to offer 5GB of free Asus Webstorage in case you need more space.

Features wise, the refreshed Asus Fonepad 7 comes with a 7inch IPS touchscreen display with the resolution of 1280*800 pixels which company claims to provide excellent day light visibility. It is powered by an Intel Atom Z2560 processor chip clocked at 1.6GHz along with 1GB of RAM memory. Out of the box, it will be running Android 4.2.2 Jelly bean operating system version along with Asus’s own custom user interface.

Extra features of this tablet include Floating app functionality which allows you to open six separate applications on the same screen. For connectivity it comes with SIM card slot for voice calling and other connectivity options include 3G, HSPA+, WiFi and Bluetooth. It is powered by a 3950mAh massive battery which is claimed to provide 28 hours of 3G talk time and 10 hours of video playback.

Looking at the features of the device, it looks like the Asus fanboys will be surely impressed by the improved Asus Fonepad 7 tablet. However, company didn’t reveal any information regarding the release date and pricing of the device in the global market.
