Asus officially launches FonePad 7 tablet in India for Rs.17499

Asua has finally officially unveiled the Asus FonePad 7 tablet in India for Rs. 17,499. It is part of the company’s FonePad tablet series and it will be available in the retail stores across the country pretty soon. It comes with voice calling support and dual speakers put in a sleek form factor. It is basically the refreshed version of the original Asus FonePad 7 with enhanced features to meet the requirements of the present scenario.

Features wise, the refreshed version of the Asus Fonepad 7 offers a 7inch IPS display with the resolution of 1280*800 pixels which also provides excellent day light visibility. It is running on the Android 4.2.2 Jelly bean operating system version along with Asus’s own custom user interface. It is powered by an Intel Atom Z2560 processor chip clocked at 1.6GHz along with 1GB of RAM memory.

Connectivity wise it offers 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and microUSB features. It comes with a 5MP rear and 1.2MP front facing cameras. There is 16GB of internal storage on board along with microSD card slot to expand it further. It is powered by a 3950mAh massive battery which is claimed to provide 28 hours of 3G talk time and 10 hours of video playback.

Asus FonePad 7 was announced in the IFA trade fair this year in the Berlin. It is going to compete against the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 3G version as well as Google Nexus 7 3G variant in the country.
