Asus Transformer Book T100 convertible laptop and tablet hybrid launches at Rs.34099

In addition to Asus FonePad 7 voice calling tablet, company has also launched the Asus Transformer Book T100 convertible laptop and tablet hybrid in the country for Rs. 34,099. It is a convertible laptop running on Windows 8 operating system version which features a detachable tablet display. It was originally announced in the Intel Developer Forum 2013 in San Francisco.


Features wise, Asus Transformer Book T100 comes with a 10.1inch HD display with the resolution of 1366*768 pixels. It can be used as a fully functional laptop as well as a tablet after removing it from the keyboard doc. The keyboard of the device comes with a dock connector that attaches the display to turn it into a laptop. The keyboard of the convertible Asus device also includes back-lit keys.

It is powered by a 1.33GHz Intel Atom Bay Trail T Z3740 quad core processor along with 2GB of RAM and Intel HD graphics. It is running on the Windows 8.1 32bit operating system version. It comes with 32GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable via microSD card slot. Company claims that it can provide eleven hours of battery backup.


Connectivity features of this convertible hybrid include WiFi, Bluetooth, Micro HDMI and USB 3.0. It also features stereo speakers powered by the Asus SonicMaster sound technology. It will be available to buy at the selected Asus retail stores in the country starting November 2013.
