AT&T and Motorola Mobililty unveils Motorola ATRIX™ 2 Smartphone

Motorola Mobility along with AT&T introduced the successor for the most powerful Android smartphone Motorola ATRIX™. The entry of the successor, Motorola ATRIX™ 2 stunned the world markets since they haven't experienced the original ATRIX. The new Motorola ATRIX 2 combines extreme power with life of the party all at an affordable price.


Motorola ATRIX 2 dubbed as Edison comes packed with 4.3-inch qHD display enhances the viewing experience with more than 500,000 pixels for sharper, clearer display. The device powered by 1 Ghz dual-core processor coupled with 8 GB ROM and 1 GB RAM. The external memory slot can house a 32 GB expandable memory card, while the sales pack carries a 2 GB microSD card. Motorola ATRIX 2 runs on Google powered Android OS v2.3 Gingerbread.

Motorola ATRIX 2 is a great value deal for entertainment as well. The device carries an 8.0 megapixel camera with LED flash which can capture video in 1080p HD and display it on any size HD monitor with an HDMI cable using Mirror mode. Users can also connect the device for Lapdock 100 or use optional HD Station to connect this to any HD TV or monitor. ATRIX 2 also carries a front facing camera for video calling or self-portrait capture. For a hassle free access to music, playlists, pictures and videos stored on their computer users can now use the free ZumoCast app. Motorola ATRIX 2 also works on 4G radio speeds up to HSPA+ 21 Mbps.

The other connectivity options include Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, Wi-Fi hotspot, DLNA, MicroUSB 2.0, HDMI port, On Device Encryption (ODE), Enhanced Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) and A-GPS for Navigation. Motorola ATRIX is entitled for US markets starting from mid-October followed by Asia, Middle East and Latin America. The pricing of the handset and the network plans are yet to be announced.
