RIM, the makers of Blackberry which just teased the first Blackberry 10 OS loaded device have something more to share. They announced the Beta version of BBM 7 in the mid of November and now the company has release the final version. You can head to Blackberry App world if you have a device running Blackberry 6 OS or higher. The company will also provide this upgrade to devices running Blackberry 5 OS in early phases of next year.

The most sought feature of BBM 7 is the BBM voice which enables free voice calling over Wi-Fi. Users can choose to text or chat or to do both at once. The only limitation is that both the users should have BBM7 installed and should be in the Wi-Fi enabled area.

In addition to BBM Voice, the upgraded BBM also brings features like upgrade notification, synchronization of profile with BB ID and additional icons.

For those who live in stone age, BBM is an app which facilitates free texting between the Blackberry users, though you need to subscribe for Blackberry services of your mobile operator.
