After a month of anxious waiting, now the Android users are finally able to download the BBM application on their devices. BlackBerry has announced that the Android and iOS users will be able to download its popular chatting service right away. Company was supposed to roll out the app almost a month back but it was delayed because the unreleased version of the BBM application was leaked on the internet.

"In the next few hours, people will start seeing BBM in Google Play, the App Store and in select Samsung App Stores - where it will be free to download." BBM head Andrew Bocking said in a blog post.

To install the app on your Android or iOS device, you can visit BBM.com from the browser on your phone and it will directly send you to the Google Play or App Store location. Android users are able to download the app right away but to use the app they first have to enter their email address to get in the queue to use the app. However, users who have already signed up on the BlackBerry website will be able to use it right away without any waiting.

To remind you, BlackBerry Messenger for Android only supports the Android 4.0 or higher version running devices. It will be competing against other popular chatting apps like Line, WhatsApp, Viber, WeChat and many other apps available in the app stores.

Samsung Android users in sub-Saharan Africa will be able to download the app from the Samsung Apps store starting from today but it will arrive on the Google Play Store in the region three days later because company is actually giving Samsung users exclusivity for the app in this region.
