BlackBerry 9720 smartphone officially launched in India for Rs.15990

The Canadian smartphone manufacturer, BlackBerry has just launched its mid-range smartphone the BlackBerry 9720 in India for Rs. 15,990. It is running on the BlackBerry 7 operating system version that comes with updated user interface which lets you swipe to unlock the phone and provides access to the camera from the lock screen too. It comes with a touch screen display as well as a full QWERTY keypad which is famous among the BlackBerry fan boys for texting purposes.

  • It comes with a 2.8inch capacitive touch screen display with the resolution of 480*360 pixels and offers 246 ppi pixels density

  • It is powered by an 806MHz Tavor MG1 processor along with 512MB of RAM memory

  • It comes with 5MP rear camera with digital zoom and image stabilization features along with LED flash, but it doesn’t come with a front facing shooter for video calling

  • It comes with 512MB of internal storage which is expendable up to 32GB via microSD card slot

  • It is running on the BlackBerry 7.1 operating system version

  • It is powered by a 1450mAh removable battery which offers 7 hours of talk time and 18 days of standby time

The phone will be available to buy at the authorized retailers across the country from September 14th. It will be available to buy in Black, White, Pink and Purple color choices. It also comes with a dedicated BBM shortcut key on the side of the phone.
