State owned mobile phone company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) announced today of reduced tariff by 20 percent in its voice and data charges in the wake of approaching festive season. The promotional offer will only be limited to the next seven days.
BSNL chief managing director R K Upadhyay said, "The aim of this move is to make our loyal customers happy in the festive season."
On a top up recharge of Rs 200, Rs 500, Rs 1000 and Rs 6000 users will get 20 percent extra talktime as a promotional offer.
BSNL has also announced reduced tariff on its 3G data plans by offering 1.2GB and 2.5GB data for only Rs 225 and Rs 360 respectively during the festive season.
A special 3G data voucher is introduced for the youths and students offering 1.5GB and 7GB of data for just Rs 120 and Rs 599 respectively. However, this plan will only be made available for just next 90 days and no details have been received whether it will continue beyond that.
Also, to celebrate 12th anniversary of BSNL the company announced yesterday unlimited local and STD calls on its CDMA network. It has come up with two promotional offers for its CDMA subscribers during the next 30 days. Now unlimited local calls to any network will just cost Rs 650 and unlimited STD calls to any network needs a recharge of Rs 850 only.
