Users can buy devices for a monthly EMI that includes unlimited calling and data as well
Apple is officially announcing the launch of its two new iPhone devices the iPhone 5S and the iphone 5C for the Indian market today. But even before the launch could take place, as reported one of India’s largest telecom service provider Reliance Communications or RCom has managed to strike out a deal with apple for bringing the devices under contract. However RCom is yet to announce this officially.
The terms of the contract are simple and users will get both the Apple iPhone 5S as well as the iPhone 5C under this scheme. Users will have to pay a zero upfront fees for getting the devices which will be network locked to RCom. For the cost or devices and usage RCom will be charging a monthly fee of Rs 2,500 and Rs 2,800 respectively for the Apple iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S, for a period of 24 months.
For those who think that the price will be too high for the devices, RCom will also be offering unlimited calling as well as data usage every month as a part of the monthly fee.
The Apple iPhone 5S which is regarded as the most advanced iPhone yet is priced at Rs 53,500 and the 16 GB variant will be offered under this scheme. For other storage variants users would be required to make an upfront payment for the devices. Similarly for the iPhone 5C the retail price of the 16 GB variant is Rs 41,900 and there will be an upfront fee for other storage variants.
