Celkon A58 Android Smartphone launched

Indian company, Celkon has launched a new Android smartphone titled Celkon A58 for Rs. 4,999. The device is a dual SIM smartphone with the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.

The A58 has a 4-inch WVGA touchscreen display of 480x800 pixels resolution. It has a 1GHZ processor with 256MB RAM and 512MB ROM which is expandable up to 32GB via micro SD card. The device has a 3MP rear camera and a VGA front camera. Its connectivity options are Wi-Fi, USB and Bluetooth and runs on a 1500mAh battery.

The device is a bit of a pricey offering in its range with a Gingerbread OS and no 3G facility which many devices like the Videocon A20, Karbonn A5, Micromax A51 Bolt are offering at a lower price. The device is a very basic phone that has been launched for the customers who require a basic Android phone with not many features at a low price.
