"The Indian Government is going all out against black money and corruption"

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Mod's announcement of making Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 banknotes illegal tender from midnight today took most people by surprise. The move seems to be a clear indication how serious the government is  towards curbing black money and the negative impact of counterfeit currency in circulation currently, and in one fell swoop, also tackles corruption and terror funding in a significant manner. As can be expected, Twitterati reacted with a mixture of praise, criticism, disbelief and a whole bunch of witty puns expressing their opinion about the announcement.

While many hailed the move as a 'surgical strike' against black money and a boost for the digital economy, Twitter was flooded with some gems that are well worth a gander. Here goes:
