Delivery of Aakash Tablets delayed until January 2012

|December 28 2011 |Android, Android Tablets

People who have booked the low-cost Indian government tablet Aakash have to bear with little inconvenience as the delivery of tablets will be delayed until the last week of January 2012. Datawind, the company accepting the payments and distributing the tablets had earlier mentioned that the delivery would be completed within 7 days of booking. However, due to overwhelming response from across India, Datawind have to push the delivery deadline farther until January 2012. So, the long wait that was the hallmark of Aakash tablet seems to continue in the customer delivery phase too!

The low-cost tablet was priced at Rs. 2,499 with a shipping charge of Rs. 199.
