Wanna listen to FM radio stations but your mobile phone lack an in-built FM reciever, than this piece of news is for you! Now, Bharti Airtel has launched a new service for its customers called 'Mirchi Mobile'. The new service will enable Airtel subscribers to tune into India’s leading private FM radio station from anywhere in India.
"Mirchi Mobile would allow customers to select from a host of 12 Mirchi stations, even on the mobile handsets that do not have an in-built FM receiver," says the company.
Commenting on the launch, Shireesh Joshi, director, marketing, mobile services, Bharti Airtel, said, "Today, we are happy to partner with Radio Mirchi to innovate the radio listening experience for our customers – enabling them to carry their favourite radio experience wherever they go to any part of the country. Not limited by location or by handset features, Mirchi Mobile on Airtel offers a unique experience – only for Airtel customers."
Powered by Spice Digital, the service will be initially available to customers of Airtel in the cities of Delhi, Mumbai and rest of Maharashtra which would be later followed by the launch of the service in the rest of the country.
To subscribe to the service, customers need to call 59830. The service has to be subscribed for listening to up to 100 minutes of content for Rs 10 per week.
Now every handset, even those without an FM receiver, can access Radio Mirchi content streamed through Airtel network.
