Microsoft is about the finish work and probably deliver the new Windows 8 platform by this summer. The Original equipment manufacturers including Acer, Asus, Dell, HP and Lenovo are eagerly waiting to port on their devices. Adding to that, Nokia recently expressed their interest in launching an Windows 8 tablet. However, Nokia might join the first wave but in the following month November 2012.
Though Microsoft ensure to match quality with ARM-based architecture, the device manufacturers got a desire for the upcoming Microsoft Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 OS. Soon after the successful launch of first wave of tablets, companies like Acer, Asus and Lenovo might return for an early 2013 introduction. By the time Samsung, Sony and Toshiba might join the force to contribute their share for the first time. Consumers can expect devices from both ARM and Intel based solutions. However, in the initial stages, we can see only ARM base devices in the market as the number of devices models were as low as five till time. Later, Intel machines try to dominate as there will be around 40 devices running Windows 8 Operating system. Till now, Microsoft is failed to bid enough competition to the surging iPad. Even the Christmas buyers could possibly end-up in buying an Apple iPad if the new platform couldn't dominate the others.
