|August 12 2010 |

Fly has announced the launch of its latest feature packed handset - Fly MC170. This sleek and stylish phone comes with a 2.4" 262K Color TFT display, 3 MP camera, FM Radio and 87 MB internal memory. Inbuilt applications includes Fly Raashi (Some new application for Astrology), Nimbus (All-in-one Messenger) and Snaptu (for Social Networking).

The price of MC170 has not been announced yet but it is expected to be sold for somewhere around Rs. 4,500. The main attractions of the phone are:

  • A talk-time of 10 hours and standby-time of around 10 days

  • Tons of multimedia and social networking related features

  • Good audio quality with 3.5 mm audio jack

  • 3 MP camera with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels

  • Motion sensor and Accelerometer

  • Mobile tracker (In case you lose it)

  • Java based

  • Expandable up to 8 GB

A full list of specifications can be viewed on the MC170’s official page (Please do not confuse with the earlier MC170DS).

A good handset with no doubt. Due to Good audio player (with equalizer), 3 Mega pixel camera and Java support, we can consider it a fully feature multimedia phone. But does the price tag makes it a good bye? You can compare this with Samsung Metro S3310 which comes for Rs. 3800 with 2 MP camera and a good brand name or the upcoming Nokia X2 with 5 Megapixel camera which comes with a price tag of Rs. 5,000.

The decision is yours.
