Fly Mobile Launches Fly Firebird Dual-SIM Android Smartphone

Fly Mobile unveils a new dual-SIM Android smartphone named Fly Firebird. This smartphone is the first of its kind combination (Android+ Dual SIM) device in from the company to India. For us, the name Firebird resembles two famous Mozilla products Firefox and Thunderbird. So, why not we assume Fly named the device FireBird using the combination of these famous products???

The new Fly Firebird codename Fly IQ270 comes in a bar form with 3.75 inch touchscreen display in 320 x 480 pixels resolution. Fly Firebird comes packed with 800MHz MTK 6573 processor, 256MB RAM and 512MB of on-board storage. For extended memory the device allows you to use MicroSD card up to 32 GB. This smartphone sports a 5.0 Megapixel camera with flash on the rear-side and a 0.3 megapixel front facing camera. Fly Firebird runs on Android OS v2.3.4 Gingerbread and supports 3G. The other connectivity options with the device include Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and Wi-Fi hotspot. Apparently, Firebird comes in-built FM Radio, 3.5mm Audio jack and also supports Audio and Video playback facility in multiple formats.

Fly Firebird IQ270 is presently available in Russian market for 7000 Rubles (approx Rs.11450/-). This device is expected to hit the Indian market shelves by the month of February 2012.
