The highly anticipated Android smartphone with Intel Medfield Mobile CPU is on stage IDF 2011 (Intel Developer Forum). Google's Andy Rubin and Intel CEO Paul Otellini introduced the new Medfield-powered smartphone running Android OS v2.3 Gingerbread. The device, known as Medfield Mobile for the time being sports a 4 to 4.3 inch display. Intel is trying to optimize the Atom chip architecture to enhance the experience of Google Android OS in low end devices too.
Intel as a chip maker is strong in Computing devices. However, ARM is leading in the smartphone processors and chips. Now, Intel with new energy is getting ready to gain the first position in mobile processors. It just changed in the blink of an eye.
