On Wednesday, Google launches its first tablet Google Nexus 7 at I/O, company’s annual event for developers. With the launch of Nexus 7, Google is all set to take on its rival competitors Apple, Amazon and Microsoft in the tablet market. Google Nexus 7 tablet is a joint venture of Google and Asus, its Taiwanese partner. Google has priced its tablet at $199. Featuring a 7 inch screen with 1280*1800 pixel resolution, Nexus 7 has been built upon latest Android 4.1 – Jelly Bean OS. Jelly Bean OS was also released at Google I/O a couple of days back. Nexus 7 has a quad-core Tegra 3 processor with 12 core GPU and 1GB RAM. Google claims its tablet as “Serious gaming device” and you will find several innovative gaming features in it. Due to its small size, you will be able to better access its emailing, messaging and browsing apps. Nexus 7 comes with a 1.2 MP front camera. Regarding its connectivity features, Nexus 7 supports wi-fi but no 3G. This may be an obvious drawback of Google tablet. People from US, Canada, Australia and UK can preorder this tablet now. Company is expecting to distribute the tablet by mid of July. You will have to wait for this tablet to be released in Indian market. Google has announced that Nexus 7 has some preloaded multimedia content and magazines for the customers.
