As reported earlier, both Google Nexus 4 and Google Nexus 10 went on sale yesterday in various countries. It started with Australia followed by UK, France, Germany, Spain, US and Canada. In all the markets, the LG Nexus 4 device was sold out within a matter of minutes. The aggressive pricing by Google was undoubtedly the main reason behind the hype. Though there is no clarity over the quantity of units Google had in its inventory.
Google launched Nexus 4 8GB and 16GB in US for the price of $299 and $349 respectively. LG Nexus 4 is the 4th Nexus phone from Google sporting a 4.7 inch True HD IPS+ capacitive touch screen running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Note that the this is the first mobile with Android 4.2 onboard. It is powered by 1.5 GHz Krait Quad-core processor complemented with Adreno 320 and 2GB Ram. Considering these specifications, the mobile is a steal for its price.
On the other hand Google Nexus 10 is considered as the Google’s reply to the Apple iPad tablet. It packs a 10.1 inch Super PLS TFT Capacitive Touchscreen running Android 4.2 powered by 1.7 GHz Dual core Samsung Exynos 5250 processor, Mali-T604 GPU and 2GB Ram. It comes with 5.0 MP camera with LED Flash and Auto focus & 2.0 MP front camera for video calling. The price of Google Nexus 10 16GB and 32GB in US is $399 and $499 respectively.
There is no official information on the devices’ pricing and availability in India. However, we believe LG Google Nexus 4 to officially hit Indian market by the end of November and could be priced somewhere between 20-25K INR. Note that the device is already up for pre-order in the grey market through eBay or other online trade marts.
