“The Google smartwatch will reportedly offer similar features as the Samsung Galaxy Gear 2”
The popular gadget tipster @evleaks has shared a few details about the upcoming Google smartwatch. According to his tweet, LG is handling the development of Google's upcoming smartwatch, having manufactured the Nexus 5 and the Nexus 4 smartphones earlier.
According to @evleaks, the Google smartwatch will feature a 1.65-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 280 x 280 pixels. It will arrive with 512MB of RAM on board along with 4GB of storage, making it roughly at par with low-end smartphones. The processor under the hood is still a mystery.
If the report is true, the Google smartwatch will offer a slightly lower resolution screen than the Samsung Galaxy Gear 2, but will feature the same amount of internal storage and RAM. The tweet doesn’t mention any specific release date for the device. However, according to several reports, it could be unveiled at Google's I/O developer conference slated for June.
