Google updates YouTube app for iOS

|December 5 2012 |Mobile Apps, Google, Appstore

Google has finally upgraded its YouTube app for iOS nearly after three months of debut, and also alongside today's big Gmail iOS update. It now supports the bigger screen of iPhone 5 and receives the ability of streaming videos over AirPlay to Apple TV.

This update is version 1.1.0.4136 and it fetches total support for the iPad tablet too.

Earlier, Apple removed Google's default YouTube and Maps apps from its iOS 6 Beta. However, the Web giant had quickly put forward a standalone app for iPhone and iPod touch.

Google has rolled out this upgrade globally and notification of it to iOS device owners will arrive soon. However, this update is not at all the final version of YouTube for iOS. Google is looking for advice from users for implementing those in near future.

The updated YouTube app for iOS can be downloaded from Apple's Store.

Few hours ago before updating this YouTube app, Google rolled out a completely revamped version of its Gmail app for iOS with new and cleaner look.
