HCL ME Connect 2G 2.0 comes with a decent set of specifications. The hardware configuration includes 1GHz Cortex A9 processor along with Mali-400 GPU and 1GB DDR3 Ram. While inclusion of 1GB ram is a welcome move, absence of Dual Core CPU is bit disappointing.

HCL ME Connect 2G 2.0 sports a 7 inch capacitive touch screen running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on board. It has a 2 MP camera at the back and 0.3 MP VGA camera on the front for video calling. You have 4GB inbuilt storage to store your apps and files with an option to expand it up to 32GB. The device supports 1080p video playback which is again a great add-on.

Since the device supports 2G data connection, you can pretty easily run internet to mail, surf and chat with your buddies. In case, 2G is not sufficient, you can plugin a 3G/CDMA dongle to get a speedier connection.

At this price, its certainly not a great value for money. The device will be facing a stiff competition from the Micromax Funbook and Lava eTab series.
