HCL Me Champ Android tablet for kids now available online for Rs.7399

HCL has introduced a new Android based tablet in the Indian market dubbed as HCL Me Champ. It is now available to buy online for Rs. 7,399 before any official announcement of the device. It is HCL’s first tablet in the country specially targeted at the Children and it comes pre-loaded with the contents from subjects like Science, Art, History and Geography etc.

HCL Me Champ for Kids

Features wise, the HCL Me Champ comes with a 7inch touch screen display with the resolution of 800*480 pixels. It is powered by a 1GHz ARM Cortex processor along with 1GB of RAM memory. It comes with 4GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card slot. It also comes with 2MP rear and VGA front facing camera for video calling.

It is running on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system version and we don’t expect it to be updated with the latest version of the OS any soon. It is powered by a decent 3100mAh battery and offers common connectivity features like WiFi, Bluetooth and mini HDMI options. It also offers 3G connectivity via external USB dongle.

The pre-loaded content in the tablet with the subjects like Science and History allows the kids to learn stuffs via different type of exercises. It also comes with interactive books and creativity application and also offers Application Manager which allows the parents to select applications their kids can use. It is going to compete with the recently launched Swipe Junior Android tablet in the country which is also targeted at the kids.
