HTC and TATA DOCOMO have jointly launched 'HTC Desire' in India. The latest Android phone offers a 3.7 inch touch-sensitive screen with 480 X 800 WVGA resolution. Powered by 1-GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, the phone is based on the Android 2.1 operating system.

The Desire also gets 576MB of RAM and offers video recording at WVGA resolution (800x480) at 15 fps versus. HTC Desire also gets an optical track-pad and physical buttons, FM and more.
The HTC Desire comes with an exclusive offer for TATA DOCOMO users in India, wherein TATA DOCOMO Postpay subscribers will get free data download of 500 MB per month for six months. To avail this offer Tata DOCOMO customers will have to SMS 'Android' to 54321 from their HTC Desire handset.

The new HTC Desire will be available at Rs 28,900 across the country.
