The 3G version of the Huawei Ascend P1 smartphone is now available to buy in India for Rs. 12,490. The phone was already available to pre-order at the online stores a week ago and now it is available to buy without waiting. Pre-order for the phone was actually started at Rs. 12,990, but now the online stores are offering Rs. 500 of discount on it. LTE version of the phone was the first 4G enabled device in the Indian market and it was launched by the company in October last year in the partnership with Bharti Airtel.

Features of Huawei Ascend P1 3G version –
  • It comes with a 4.3inch super AMOLED touch screen display with the resolution of 540*960 pixels

  • Its display is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2

  • It is running on the Android 4.0 Ice Cream operating system version

  • It is powered by a 1.5GHz dual core processor along with 1GB of RAM memory

  • There is 4GB of internal storage in the phone expendable up to 32GB via microSD card slot

  • It comes with 8MP rear camera along with 1.3MP front facing shooter

  • Connectivity wise it offers 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and MicroUSB options

  • It is powered by a 1670mAh battery

3G version of the phone looks a lot different than the 4G enabled variant. Features and price of the phone are pretty similar to the recently launched Sony Xperia M Android smartphone. So, it looks like Sony is going to face a decent competition in India with its latest mid-range device from the Huawei Smartphone.
