The Two extra-large Smartphones were not the only perks from Huawei at the CES, the Company has now showcased its first ever Smartphone running on Windows 8 Operating System to add to its lineup of Gadgets.

Huawei has Launched the Ascend W1 at the Consumer Electronic Show 2013 held at Las Vegas. Huawei Ascend is the first phone from the Chinese Network Provider as well handset maker that will bear a Windows 8 Operating System.

Huawei Ascend features a 4-inch IPS LCD Display with a Screen Resolution of 800x480 pixels.

The Smartphone has got a 1.2GHz Dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8230 Chipset Processor, 512 RAM along with Adreno 320 GPU.

The Windows 8 Smartphone houses within itself an on-board storage of 4GB along with the flexibility provision for the expansion of External Memory up to 32GB. Huawei Ascend W1 features a 5MP Camera with Flash on the Front and supports Video Calling with a VGA Front Camera. It has been Fueled up with a 1950mAh Battery.

Huawei has been trying its hands with a Windows 8 Processor in its Smartphones for the first time. While most of the recently launched Windows 8 Phones use a slightly powerful 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Processor the newly launched Windows 8 Phone from Huawei somehow stays a bit behind them in the segment. But this specification does not seem to slow down the Customers, who are accustomed to use a Single-core Phone.

Huawei Ascend W1 will be available in Russia and China during the month of January and is expected to arrive in the US, Europe and Middle East soon.
