The iBall Edu Slide i-1017 runs on a dual-core Cortex A9 processor with 1.5 GHz along with G400 Mali graphic processor and 1 GB RAM. iBall Edu-Slide i-1017 is armed with a 2-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front facing camera. As the tablet is meant especially for the students of India, it comes pre-loaded with educational software content by eTeach that comprises of materials from Standard I to XII for CBSE and SSC English medium. Marathi medium content of SSC is also available for standards V to X.

While, the tablet consumer can buy only one standard course material for free, if the device is bought before 15th of April the customer can download an additional standard content, free of cost.

Director of iBall, Sandeep Parasrampuria said that as there is a dearth of quality content in the tech based education sector, it is a great time to present iBall Edu-Slide powered by eTeach that would improve the situation with increasing number of tablet users. The company’s goal is to make best utilization of the technology enhancements and create an environment, where education is made easy and interesting.

In the range of tablets in India, the iBall Edu-Slide is a bit expensive and faces tough competition from the cheaper Micromax Fun Book Pro. Nonetheless, the students who need the content being offered in this tablet, this price difference may not matter.
