A projector in a mobile phone is a concept that keeps stricking back again and again, but is far from gaining its share of traction in the industry. Nevertheless, this doesn’t stop manufacturers to give it another chance to keep the concept alive. After Spice Popkorn and Samsung Galaxy Beam, we have a new member in this segment, iBall Andi 4a Projector.

iBall Andi 4a Projector is the first 35 Lumens projector phone which can project videos with a resolution of 480x640 pixels. It further provides a contrast of 1200:1 and has the facility for manual focus too. The projector can instantly project media up to 10 feet and even 120 inches wide as well.

iBall Andi 4a Projector comes with a 4 inch, 480x800 pixels, IPS display running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. The mobile is powered by 1GHz dual core processor and 512MB Ram. Its 4GB internal memory can be expanded by 32GB with help of an external SD card. The 8 megapixel camera will help you in clicking pictures with high clarity and precision.

This projector phone is priced at nearly 18,999 INR and you will also receive a free tripod along with it to help you use the phone as a projector. iBall earlier released some teasers for this phone and hence there’s a bit of buzz for it in the market. However, the price tag seems on a bit higher side. If you remove the projector feature, its a mid range Android phone which can easily be purchased for 6-8k in India (Lava Xolo Q600, Q800 to name a few). The premium iBall is demanding for projector is too high.

However, those who are looking specifically for a projector Smartphone can look forward to this.
