Our demo unit comes in black, and has golden accents on both its left and right edges, which lends it a classy appeal. Handling the software affairs on the mobile is sweet Android 5.0 Lollipop. There’s a useful Auto Call Record feature hidden in the Intex Zone app. The feature allows the device to automatically record all voice calls and save them in the internal memory or external storage.

While these specs make the Intex Aqua Power Plus powerful enough to take on similarly-priced rivals, what gives it an edge is its gargantuan 4,000mAh removable lithium polymer battery. This promises to deliver an impressive talk time of 20 hours and a music playback time of around 34 hours. To extend the battery life further, you can enable the Super Power mode, which offers a grayscale interface and access to a limited number of apps. This can be extremely useful option in emergency situations to use the phone, even when the battery is as low as 5 percent.

The flip cover has a faux-leather texture at the back and not only acts as a protective coating for the device, but is also quite useful thanks to the circular window at the front. It lets you take a peek at the time and displays missed notifications, along with the option to quickly access call logs, messages, camera and music. Overall, the Intex Aqua Power Plus is a compelling offering at the price point of Rs 8,990.
