Intex launches Aqua 5.0, another dual SIM phablet

|November 20 2012 |Mobiles

Intex Aqua 5.0 is just like other dual SIM phablets available in the market. Neither the price nor the configuration provides it an edge over the competitors.

Though many players have already entered into the phablets segment but the market has not yet as crowded as tablets. So, the new entrants always have a chance to take a slice of pie, provided they offer something better than what already is in the market.intex aqua 5_0

Intex Aqua 5.0 is the latest entry in this segment. It’s a dual SIM phablet which sports 5 inch, 800 x 480 Pixels, capacitive touch screen running Android 4.0. Underneath it packs 1GHz dual-core processor complemented with a 512 MB Ram. It packs a 5 Mega Pixel autofocus camera with LED Flash and 1.3 MP front camera for video calling. To store the apps and media, it houses a 4GB internal storage expandable up to 32 GB via SD card. The mobile is backed by a 2000 mAH battery.

Intex Aqua 5.0 comes with a price tag of Rs 9990 which is similar to Micromax A110, the most popular Indian phablet. Since configuration wise its somewhere inferior to the A110, it will face stiff competition in the market. We think if any company wants to grab a share in this price range, it should offer at least 1GB Ram.

The company recently launched Intex Aqua 4.0. Price around 5K, Intex Aqua 4.0 sports a 3.5 inch capacitive touch screen running Android 2.3 powered by 800 MHz processor and 512 MB Ram.
