Intex shows off the prototype of its first octa-core processor powered smartphone

Intex is making quite some headlines on the web from past couple of days as the company has announced to launch the first ever octa-core processor smartphone in the Indian market. It has also unveiled the prototype of it’s the first phone powered by the MediaTek octa-core chipset and announced that the phone will be released in January 2014 for a price tag of around Rs. 20,000. Company hasn’t yet revealed the name of its most interesting smartphone till date.


To be specific, the phone is actually powered by the MediaTek MT6592 chipset – world’s first true octa-core mobile platform that features eight-core app processor. Company claims the new chipset will enhance the gaming and multimedia viewing experience of the users to a whole new level.

Talking about the specs, the phone will be running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system.  It will come with a 6 inch IPS HD touch display and will be only 7 mm thick. It will be offered in 16 GB and 32 GB internal storage models. The phone is expected to arrive with a decent 13 MP rear camera along with HD front facing shooter.

The octa-core Intex smartphone is also expected to arrive with dual Yamaha 1420 speakers to provide great sound quality. While, the exact pricing of the phone is not disclosed yet, the specifications sound really good for a mid-range device. More details about the phone will be available soon, so stay tuned!
