For past few months it was widely rumored that Apple's next iPhone aka iPhone 5 (as expected to be named) will be using nano SIM. Now the report has been confirmed.
Lately the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) has given an okay mark to the new standard of SIM cards that is smaller than today's SIM cards and is dubbed as 'nano SIM'.
A report published on BGR citing sources says Apple has supplied nano SIM adaptors to multiple network carriers to test the usability of the nano SIM cards. The report also added that AT&T is included among the carriers to be testing the new standard SIM cards.
Apart from confirming the arrival of nano SIM feature in the next iPhone the BGR also reported that the device is to have 1GB of RAM, 4G LTE connectivity and NFC features.
The confirmation is really great news for all those potential customers who are planning to buy next generation device.
Among other new features or changes in iPhone 5 that we have also earlier reported are the device to have a new design, different from iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. Leaks revealed the iPhone 5 to have larger display that is believed to be 4-inch diagonally and provide a resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels.
Other changes to be seen in it are smaller dock and headphone jack making its move to the bottom of the handset.
