Karbonn has silently launched a new entry level Android smartphone in the Indian market dubbed as Karbonn A1+ Duple for Rs. 3,690. The phone is available to purchase on almost all the major online retail stores. It has joined the range of highly affordable Android smartphones in the country from the home grown manufacturers.

Karbonn A1+ Duple comes with very entry level Android smartphone features. It offers a small 3.5 inch HVGA display with the basic resolution of 480*320 pixels. The phone is powered by a decent 1.3 GHz dual-core processor along with 256 MB of RAM memory. The phone is running on quite newer Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system and we are quite suspicious if it will run smoothly on such low RAM.

Internal storage in the phone is 512 MB, which is further expandable using a microSD card slot. For imaging it offers a decent 3 MP rear camera along with a VGA front facing shooter. The phone offers usual connectivity features like WiFi, Bluetooth, micro USB 2.0 port and GPS. The phone draws its power from a decent 1300 mAh battery.

Karbonn A1+ Duple is going to compete against Intex Cloud X5 in India with its latest entry level smartphone. Intex’s device was launched earlier this year for Rs. 3,900 and offers similar features comparing to the Karbonn smartphone. Intex Cloud X5 is a dual SIM smartphone and it also runs on the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system.
